• [00:27:17] <ds2> if anyone is awake, does the Beagle have the ability to capture NTSC video?
  • [01:34:48] <jkridner> you'd have to use a USB adapter.
  • [01:35:02] <jkridner> You could output NTSC, but there is no native capture.
  • [01:38:14] <Crofton> heh
  • [01:38:20] <Crofton> I could see that answer coming :)
  • [01:38:47] <ds2> :)
  • [01:40:04] <jkridner> USB will be a theme.
  • [08:38:04] <_diego__> usb ftw! :)
  • [12:02:25] <Crofton> any availibility updates ....
  • [12:02:31] <Crofton> yes I am a nag ...
  • [13:27:36] <jkridner> we are still fighting with some boards crashing on Linux. There are 3 different failure modes identified. One of them has a work-around, so it may be close to resolution.
  • [13:28:36] <Crofton> fun
  • [13:28:56] <Crofton> I really do have several things I need to complete b4 I look at one of these
  • [13:29:22] <Crofton> I think I will propose a demo presentation for the SDR Forum TC based on one of these
  • [13:29:45] <Crofton> does this have spi + some gpios?
  • [13:30:48] <jkridner> not exactly. there is SPI and GPIO code in the kernel, but we haven't planned any user-mode demos of our own.
  • [13:31:31] <Crofton> I mean is the hw present?
  • [13:37:56] <jkridner> yes.
  • [13:38:22] <jkridner> the expansion header includes an SPI port and some other signals that can be used as GPIO.
  • [13:41:14] <jkridner> you may need to be conscious of the signal levels on the SPI port. I don't recall if it is 3.3V or 1.8V.

  • [19:39:55] <jkridner> real-time update: a bit of a breakthrough. with some other DDR settings, more boards are starting to work.
  • [19:42:26] * Crofton hates DDR settings :)
