An autonomous mini-copter for track moving objects and follow them.
|Beagle-Copter is an autonomous RF copter that is controlled by a beagleboard for track and follow moving objects. Two cameras (color and infrared) capture images that beagleboard's DSP analyze and detect moving objects, sending the images by UMTS to the user which can select one to track and monitoring it in real time.
With sensors, the system is able to evade obstacles itself and recalculate the route to continue following the object, and with a GPS the route can be marked into a map and stored.
This will be useful in example for police: follow a suspect from sky without suspect noticing, and then the beagle-copter can return alone to home coordinates.
